This Blog is dedicated to the painting technique of the followers of Caravaggio with a focus on Jusepe de Ribera who in my opinion went further than the artist he was following. Art history has called these artists the Shadowist in english or the Tenebristes in french.As they left us no books on how they worked this Blog is an attempt to deconstruct their technique.This is the visual diary of this deconstruction.
